Emilie's artistic journey began with a Foundation Year in Art and Design at Plymouth College of Art, followed by a BA (Hons) Fine Art degree at the University of Plymouth. In her early days, she adorned local cafes and restaurants around Totnes with her creations, before blossoming into her first formal exhibition in Falmouth.

Transitioning from various full and part-time roles, Emilie embraced her true calling as an artist in 2016, basking in the glow of local and international recognition. A serendipitous move to Jersey in late 2016 sparked a new chapter, where she swiftly intertwined herself within the vibrant Jersey art scene. Selected to represent Jersey at the Forum Des Arts in St Malo in May 2017, Emilie's art found homes in prestigious galleries like the Harbour Gallery and adorned the walls of charming cafes and eateries.

After a transformative hiatus, battling the strains of burnout, Emilie returned to her sanctuary, the studio, in November 2023, seeking solace and healing through her art. Alongside this journey, she discovered a new facet of her identity with an Autism diagnosis, shedding light on her work with newfound understanding and depth.

Drawing inspiration from the depths of her being, Emilie's art delves into the intricate tapestry of human existence, exploring how we perceive the world and how it, in turn, perceives us. Her unique approach involves painting exclusively with her hands and fingers, occasionally employing her feet when space permits, forging an intimate connection between artist and canvas.

Each stroke, imbued with subconscious intricacies, carries the essence of Emilie's being, reflecting her neurodiversity with a harmonious blend of beauty and raw reality. The juxtaposition of vibrant hues against the intricate workings of her mind serves as a poignant testament to her unique perspective.
